Welcome from the Principal

We are very excited to welcome you to Pix Brook Academy, a new 9 -16 extended secondary school that was opened in Stotfold by the Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST), during September 2019.

Whether you are a pupil, family member, prospective parent or a potential candidate for a role at Pix Brook Academy, we hope that this website will provide an insight into our school and highlights some of the fantastic work undertaken by our highly motivated students and exceptional staff.

    We are absolutely thrilled to share that Pix Brook Academy has made a significant contribution to The Need Project in Stotfold! Demonstrating our commitment to supporting the local community and sustainable practices, we have proudly donated a new server cabinet.     Congratulations to PBA students Shero (year 9) and Hillary (year 6) who recently took their Taekwondo tests. Shero passed her Taekwondo Red Tag Belt Level and is onto her 2nd kup.     Congratulations to Year 6 pupil, Penny, who recently undertook a long-distance swim challenge. She was aiming for a swim of 3000m and reached 5000m! Well done, Penny, what a great achievement!

    Two of our students took part in water-based challenges recently. Hayden J, year 10, took part in the 2km Regional Open Water Swimming his weekend and came 1st in the County and 2nd in the Region. Eoin M (year 5) achieved his Bronze Swimming Award and his 3000m distance award, and also took part in his Swimming Club Gala, winning bronze in the 50m breast stroke race and the 50m front crawl and silver in 50m butterfly. Well done to you both!

    We have a collection of lost property from the DofE weekend currently located in Miss Power's classroom (Room 008). If your child misplaced anything, please encourage them to visit Room 008 to check if their item is there. This includes sleeping bags, walking poles, an Apple Air Tag, and other various items. A member of Kimbolton Community has been in contact about a camera that they have found, if your child has lost a camera, please get in contact with Miss Power. Please note that these items will be moved at the end of term.

    To our Year 6 families: Don't forget you are invited to come into school this afternoon and try on examples of KS3 (Year 7) uniform. We know buying new uniform is expensive, and the risk of buying something that doesn't fit is stressful - so come to PBA this afternoon (Tuesday) from 3:15-4pm and try on different sizes of KS3 uniform, to help you get the right items ready for September! #schooluniform #getitright #shopping #secondaryschool

    KS2 were thrilled to welcome author Siobhan McSwiggan to their assembly today. Siobhan shared her inspiring journey of overcoming dyslexia and how it hasn't stopped her from achieving her dream of becoming a writer. She spoke about the creative process behind her book, Creatures of the Great Garden, which is set in the beautiful Wrest Park. As a generous gesture, Siobhan donated copies of her book for Pix Brook students to enjoy. It was a truly motivational visit that encouraged everyone to believe in themselves and follow their passions. #author #dyslexicthinking #youcandoanything
